Choosing your courses

The Holistic Theology program begins with 30 hours of core studies that prepare you to focus on a chosen area of concentration to further integrate your personal and professional goals. You will then continue with 30 additional hours of study in the concentration of your choice: Holistic Theology, Holistic Ministries, Holistic Health and Spiritual Care, Metaphysical Spirituality or Alternate Spiritual Traditions.

You must select 24 hours of concentration courses from your chosen concentration program and a six hour elective from any same level concentration. Each concentration offers a diversity of theological wisdom.

“To get from where you are to where you want to go, and where your soul intends you to be: this requires patience and longing, creativity and stubbornness, and perseverance. AIHT can provide thought-provoking studies that help you form your own map-points and tools to find your dreams and live authentically—beyond the theoretical, into the experiential.

“AIHT can help you touch true vision.”

Elective

Each degree program requires six credit hours of elective. The electives offers students the opportunity to investigate additional topics of interest or to expand the focus of their core curriculum.

Students may choose an elective from any same-level program. For example, if you are enrolled in a bachelor’s level program you may choose any course from any bachelor’s program as an elective. Bachelor’s level course numbers are preceded with “B.” Master’s level course numbers are preceded with “M,” and doctoral course numbers are preceded with “D.”
