Graduate Profiles
AIHT graduate Sonia Choquette,
Ph.D. in Metaphysics
AIHT doctoral graduate and best-selling author Sonia Choquette knows
that she is blessed. In her family circle are psychic visionaries
through whom Divine intuition flows freely. Sonia learned from her mother
the confidence of making better decisions by tapping into her sixth sense,
and now she passes along these ways of enlightenment to her own children.
An icon of intuition, Sonia Choquette has authored eight books on psychic and parapsychic
experiences. She sometimes travels and co-teaches with fellow members
of the prestigious Omega Institute: Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer and
Caroline Myss, among others.
More often she teaches solo, because Sonia Choquette is
on a mission: she wants the world to know that intuition resides
within us all. This inner knowledge is our constant companion and
our birthright; it’s no trick and there is no danger of power failures.
She affirms that we can always tune in and hear “a word in due
time,” once we learn to stop, look and listen from within.
Sonia is helping to de-mystify this free gift of psychic
wisdom via an international media audience – from network TV to
websites, radio and publications such as USA Today, New Age and New
Woman, among others. Time after time skeptical reporters ultimately
become ambassadors of our constant “internal broadcast” and
its Higher Source. New Woman ranked one of her books, Your
Heart’s Desire, among its 10 best ways to change your life.
Her newest book is Trust Your Vibes: 33 Secrets
for Sixth Sensory Living.
Its messages are indeed life changing. Sonia calls
the sixth sense our highest sense, because it reflects most accurately
what is true. Intuition comes straight from the heart and, according
to Sonia Choquette, here’s how to become
more attuned:
- Be wide open to the idea of being Spirit-led. Psychic intuition
is perfectly natural; it’s part of our essence.
- Expect that your heart will talk to you. Develop the higher
awareness to drink often and easily from its endless fountain of
wisdom. Take time, as often as possible, to reflect on its
teachings.
- Actively decide that from now on you will instinctively trust
that still, small voice within your heart, not the noisy court of
public opinion. After all, who knows you better? No one.
- Exercise your growing intuitive muscle with “psychic sit-ups” that
let us play out our hunches, our ah-ha moments of inspired enlightenment.
- Practice daily with visualizations and affirmations. There’s
great comfort in knowing that the knowledge we need is always available. Practice
builds confidence.
- Use journaling to list and celebrate these ever-improving results.
- Along with writing your ah-ha moments (or instead of writing them,
if journaling doesn’t work for you), be sure to talk about
them with appreciation. Tell your “Today I had a wonderful
insight” stories often. Be enthusiastic and thankful
for the insights you receive. After all, our friendly universe
is always listening!
Amid years of travel, interviews, writing, raising a family
and teaching, while still working with individual clients, Sonia recalls
that AIHT’s distance learning approach fit her lifestyle hand in
glove.
“Its teachings speak to my heart and lift me up.
I came to this early, as a teacher who felt frustrated by traditional
education’s lack of even acknowledging sixth sensory phenomena – much
less teaching it to others.”
Sonia’s prior training in psychology didn’t
touch the soul work of psychic intuition. “I am thrilled
to continue interacting with the forward thinking educators here,” she
says. “True advanced thinkers are always students. We can never
learn enough!”
AIHT helps scholars such as Sonia Choquette to
feel supported in their field, she says, with their own areas of expertise
augmented by knowledgeable academic peers and a lively platform. Her
book entitled The Wise Child began as a Ph.D. thesis. Another
of her books, The Psychic Pathway, is now used within AIHT curricula.
“The highest, most complete devotion is to teach
others about the expanded self,” she concludes. “AIHT aligned
with my personal mission and it met my ethical standards. I do
feel that we are pioneers who share a soulful academic approach.”
