AIHT Crystal Reunion: A Spirit Party in Chi-town
Where were you on the first day of summer, 2007?
AIHT students and graduates traveled from as far as Alaska to
align with hundreds of kindred souls for “Celebrate Your Life—Chicago,”
a sublimely otherworldly conference presented by Mishka Productions.
Our school’s 15th anniversary Crystal Reunion
clearly set the tone, with its festive pre-conference reception. This spirited
gathering allowed some of our newest students to compare notes with graduates
of multiple degree programs, including some who enrolled “back in the day”
of AIHT’s early beginnings!
AIHT president Michael Parker reminisced about the school’s
evolution, and senior admissions advisor Beverly Love gathered our circle and
led an ecumenical blessing. Faculty members George Donnelly and Annette Reynolds
updated our group on the school’s 2008 degree programs in holistic theology
and gave informal instruction on the art of the labyrinth. Vibrations
editor Mary Grace McCord heard unforgettable stories while interviewing attendees.
Some special guests had attended previous AIHT reunions, such
as Marta Gore, D.D.—who also won a Crystal Reunion door prize!
Another reunion attendee, bachelor’s graduate Susan Stubson, has re-enrolled
in graduate studies after receiving a scholarship this spring!
Several local AIHT students and graduates enjoyed volunteering
for “work/study” during the conference, including Marlene Brown, Ph.D.;
Jeffrey Pears, M.S.; and B.S. candidate Brenda Alexander.
Here are a few highlights of our spirited weekend in Chi-town.
- Bachelors candidate Mary Mocny is transforming her life—through
metaphysical home study and Sixth-Sensory training with Sonia Choquette.
- Also reinventing her career is Susan Stubson (center),
who compares notes with conference volunteer Brenda Alexander and Ivan Riley,
D.D.
- Enlightened table talk with
M.S. candidate Nancy Robles of Ogilvy Public Relations; Autumn Brook, M.S.;
hospice volunteer Susan Stubson, B.S.; yoga teacher Marlene Brown, Ph.D.; and
Rev. Ellen Martin, Ph.D.
- Heart-to-heart, senior admissions advisor Beverly Love
and metaphysics doctoral graduate Deborah Snyder discuss the gifts of raising
a child with special needs.
Deb was later interviewed by author and jewelry designer Karin Janin. Be sure
to see and hear a “HeartGlow-ing” story at www.karinjanin.com
- Many reunion attendees enjoyed spending the day with
distinguished alumna and adjunct faculty member Sonia Choquette, Ph.D.
During her pre-conference intensive on “The Soul Lessons of Intuition,”
Sonia signed the AIHT authors’ poster and visited with metaphysics graduate
students Maria Peth and Ann Babiarz.
Maria has completed advanced independent studies with Sonia Choquette, Doreen
Virtue and Eric Pearl. Her intuitive energy work with angelic-enlightenment.com
is being featured in AIHT’s wintertime Vibrations.
