Bringing Potential to Life

“My role and gift in life is not to teach, preach, or convince anyone of anything. I am here to empower others to get their own answers, access their true dreams, and overcome anything that gets in the way of making those dreams a reality.”

This is the mission statement of a survivor. It’s the juice that jolted a happy-go-lucky teenage jock into the serious and life-changing studies of psychotherapy, philosophy, quantum physics, hypnotherapy, and metaphysics. AIHT graduate and adjunct faculty member Bruce D Schneider, Ph.D., is the founder of iPEC Coaching. His international clientele includes more than 3,000 coach practitioners and his first book, Relax, You’re Already Perfect, was used within our school’s doctoral curriculum.

New in 2008, Schneider’s Energy Leadership book is a multi-media approach to “Core Energy Coaching™,” through which individuals learn to recreate their world by changing their beliefs. The book’s methodology combines a true story of corporate and personal transformation, amplified by video clips featuring iPEC management.

Visit www.ipeccoaching.com for more information on their programs and to sample the E-Factor, iPEC’s twice-monthly interview podcast. And if you want a little inspiration, go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8YrhfAXC64 to take a virtual nature-walk with I Am the River, a motivating folk ballad whose spirited music and exhilarating lyrics are written and performed by AIHT’s very own Bruce Schneider.

“What happens when a person approaches each of their key relationships with the determined intention that ‘Either we both move forward in this exchange, or I’m not interested’? Beyond being involved or committed,” he explains, “what if we became devoted to co-creating a shared success through non-manipulative collaboration?”

Schneider’s book describes seven levels of energy, demonstrating specific methods to help raise each individual’s E-Factor, which is a measure of a person’s vibration, or level of consciousness. Low-vibrating Level 1 energy is described as fearful victimization, or what he calls “I lose.” At Level 2, issues of anger and control result in the unsatisfying requirement that “you lose.” At both of these lower levels, he points out, one’s potential happiness is determined by others.

At Level 3, you stop looking at others to create your reality for you. But Level 3 energy is still manipulative; it carries the mandate that “I win,” though at this level, it’s acceptable, but not required that “you win too.” The more expansive Level 4 energy is a quantum-leap offering that “you win.” At this level, the concern is for the other person, not for oneself. Level 5 energy, the threshold of creative collaboration, affirms that “we both win.” Rising to the non-judgmental state of Level 6 energy, the intention is that “everybody always wins.”

And what could be better than that?

Schneider says that at energy Level 7, our three-dimensional human perception of reality shifts to a holographic field of energetic perception that has no beginning or end.

“At Level 7, we can actually break through the illusion of winning and losing. It takes us so high that we needn’t even try to sustain it, we simply want the empowered awareness of being able to tap into it. Becoming aware of what this level is, and how to access it, is how we can finally ‘name it and claim it’ at the times that matter most. The benefits, for all, are phenomenal.”

At the core of this desired Level 7 energy is what Schneider calls a “meta-view,” which means that through detached involvement we are able to do our very best work with a clarity of vision that does not rely on any certain outcome. Focusing our full passion into one specific moment becomes its own reward. From this meta-view, he adds, time no longer matters. From this meta-view, life is simply fun.

Bruce Schneider’s unique coaching methods are taught in iPEC’s Coach Training Program, which leads to both a Core Energy Coaching Certificate and an advanced Energy Leadership™ Coach Accreditation. iPEC’s newest offering, Life Potentials Training™, is an intensive weekend workshop that’s offered in 12 major cities and includes its own web-based community. The workshop is geared not only to those who want to be professional coaches, but also to those who want to incorporate Core Energy Coaching philosophies and skills into their everyday personal and business lives.

According to Schneider, “the message underlying Life Potentials Training is one of personal empowerment, increased self-awareness, and a healthier perspective on the notion of control—which, of course, means self-control. Becoming aware of the human behavior and conditioning processes that have governed our lives, we then learn to perceive how this process works. Making it work for us is what we all really want. The weekend affords participants the chance to explore current habits and routines, and to consciously choose new ones that lead to greater potential and the ability to summon their inner genius.” The program is transformational and informative, and also fun and full of laughs—after all, there’s still quite a bit of that happy-go-lucky teenage jock in the grown-up Schneider.
