The beauty and aroma of those flowers lifted my spirit and did much to help me get well. When I was fourteen, grandpa took me into his herb garden. He sold medical herbs and had a fenced one-acre naturalized garden. He knew every tree and plant in it. No longer would I look at anything as a weed or just a pretty flower. Our planet has anything green, anybody could ever need—from the artist, gourmet cook, craftsperson, winemaker, gardener, aromatherapist, etc., to the person who relies on herbs for their health.”
