Planetary Healers Jan and John Randolph Price:
“It Is Now Time for World Service”

by Mary Grace McCord

During America’s high-rolling, materialistic early 1980s, if a big-city ad agency had coined a phrase as profound as “It Is Now Time for World Service,” one could reasonably suspect the words to be just as flippant as they are clever.

Before he was a best-selling metaphysical author, John Randolph Price ruled such a high-profile ad agency in Chicago. But instead of remaining smugly pleased with his suburban spa estate, loving wife and country club status, a quiet discontent flickered in the recesses of his monkey mind.

“It Is Now Time for World Service.”

With John’s self-imposed indictment as yet unanswered, his growing restlessness was inescapable. One sleepless night as he slipped into their home library to ponder this vague sense of unfulfillment, a previously unread book suddenly seemed to beckon. An innocuous title, The Success System That Never Fails, was self-published by one of John’s ad agency clients in the insurance industry. John Randolph Price had previously considered this volume as mainly the stuff of Napoleon Hill and Dale Carnegie: correct but not what he might consider earth shattering; neither noteworthy nor remarkable.

Now the book’s premise seemed reasonable as well as reachable: What our mind’s eye can visualize and believe, we can undoubtedly achieve.

And although by anyone’s definition of success John and his college sweetheart Jan Bryant Price were clearly “living a dream,” both became increasingly open to the idea that their complacency was unwarranted. Both came to realize how much higher they could go—for the good of the world rather than for personal gain.

Fast-forward to 2002. The two have written almost two dozen books on abundance and the individual’s spiritual powerhouse. They have lectured worldwide. This summer the Prices celebrate 49 years of marriage, and they have universally enhanced the last 15 New Years’ Eves with what Associated Press calls, “The largest peace event in history.”

The Prices granted this phone interview with Vibrations:

VIBRATIONS: “It Is Now Time for World Service” is indeed a divine message. Tell us how it ultimately manifested as a way-showing moment of planetary healing.

JOHN: When the words “It Is Now Time for World Service” channeled through me on an airplane, I quickly jotted it down on a napkin. These words led us to establish World Healing Day in 1986, whereby 500 million people within 77 countries, representing all religions, participated by ‘waging peace’ for one powerful minute of synchronized prayer. It’s each December 31, at 12noon Greenwich Standard Time (which is 4am on the West Coast and 7am on the East Coast) because this is the one time that represents the same day throughout the world.

VIBRATIONS: Some of your best-known titles include The Abundance Book, Super Beings, The Other Side of Death, Living a Life of Joy, and The Jesus Code. What are you working on now?

JOHN: Over the years I have secretly written five novels, which might surprise our usual following because they are, shall we say, worldly: murder mysteries with serial killers and some romance. There’s one coming out soon, Removing the Mask That Binds Us, which unmasks the roles of victim and bully. Perhaps my last non-fiction book will be Things I’ve Never Told You, which celebrates our marriage.

JAN: We’ve never written a book on relationships. Once we designed a relationship seminar called “The Missing Person” and instead of the usual 100 or so registrants, this one drew only one person. We took it as a sign.

VIBRATIONS: There’s also the angel series. Tell us about the angel who appeared in your near-death
experience.

JAN: When I was clinically dead for four minutes in 1993, my heavenly tour guide was Maggi, our recently departed 12-year-old Springer spaniel. I had quietly, effortlessly floated up and away from the melee of life support helicopters and heroic measures. What I saw has utterly erased any fear of death. There were fields of flowers, the warm glow of soothing colors, beloved friends and relatives. It was all good.

JOHN: Just as fear blocks energy, being “careless” frees energy. Recognizing and clearing our blocks in consciousness also clears the path to our heart’s highest longings. This meditative process helps us welcome abundance and the twin-flame soul mate relationships we crave.

The key is to go lightly, with ease. When we actively choose the life we want, we move our energy upward into higher and faster frequencies. We don’t even have to make it happen. We need only open up, breathe in, and let it happen.
