Graduate Updates

Bruce Schneider, Ph.D.

Metaphysician, author, empowerment guru, Reiki master, former athlete and AIHT graduate Bruce Schneider, Ph.D., truly had a spring, 2002 rebirth. His best-selling Relax, You’re Already Perfect went into reprinting (Hampton Road Press).

Schneider first knew he was perfect when, at age 18, he was almost killed by a drunk driver. His months of recovery brought a burning question—“Why was my life spared, and what is my purpose?”—along with an intense sense of gratitude for receiving a second chance. Schneider found inner peace, joy and understanding by using the meditative centering techniques he describes within Relax, You’re Already Perfect. The goal, he says, is to simply remember what we were born knowing, that each of us is a perfect creation.

Founder of the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC), Schneider leads four coaching schools—headquartered in Manalapan, New Jersey, with satellites in St. Louis, Missouri and two California locations: Sacramento and San Diego. Its series of independent study and weekend seminars train the trainers: IPEC graduates become professional empowerment coaches.

Schneider recently shared his half-day Joyful Abundance workshop with his alma mater, AIHT: “Athletes use meditation and centering to ‘get in the zone’ before a big game, so why not employ psychoneuroimmunology—invoking the mind/body connection to minimize stress and maximize homeostatic balance—in the biggest game of all,” he says: “Life.”

Employ all the senses, he adds, and then visualize specifically just what you want, many times a day. The universe wants to give what we want, to help achieve the greatest, highest good. It’s up to us to know it, affirm it, and then make sure that all that we do (including our jobs) makes the best use of our time, talents and energies.

Rita Seger

Rita Seger, D.D., facilitates a Course in Miracles at Unity Church of Monterey Bay. She has published her second book, A Love Greater Than Love. “Directed by my inner guide to share my spiritual journey from love addiction to recovery,” she says, “I believe this painful addiction is the basis for other addictions. I hope every reader will look at their dark side to find their own particular form of my story. For all who seek freedom and inner peace, my story will trigger your own and lead you to progress toward that ultimate goal. I hope my book is a blessing to the suffering, dark side that is a part of each of us. Thanks again and my address is Rita Firestone Seger, D.D. 6 Queen’s Ct. Rancho Mirage, Ca. 92270. The book is $12.95 and can be ordered through me, Yahoo or Boxwood Press in Pacific Grove, Ca.”
