AIHT's
New
Director,
Michael
J.
Parker
 |
|
From
his
top
floor,
corner
office,
Michael
Parker
can
see
for
miles—and
when
he
talks
about
distance
learning,
he
brings
the
vision
of
having
worked
with
AIHT
for
more
than
a
decade
already.
His
distance
learning
experience
has
enhanced
the
operations,
admissions
and
human
resources
of
several
virtual
campuses.
He
holds
degrees
in
health
administration
and
psychology,
with
additional
studies
in
sociology
and
philosophy.
But
most
of
all,
Michael
Parker
is
a
student
of
life.
A
world
traveler
who
is
drawn
to
the
psychic
energy
vortex
of
Stonehenge
in
England,
the
sacred
Inca
ruins
of
Machu
Picchu
in
Peru’s
Andes
Mountains,
the
awe
inspiring
cathedrals
of
Paris
and
the
historic
castles
of
Scotland,
Michael
has
encountered
many
religions
and
many
faiths.
Yet
over
the
years,
he
says
his
most
profound
spiritual
teachings
have
always
come
from
AIHT.
“After
first
consulting
with
this
talented,
energetic
theology
staff,
it
is
such
a
treat
to
be
working
together
each
day.
I
am
inspired
by
their
sense
of
oneness
and
often,
it
seems,
an
intuitive
connection
as
well—with
each
other,
and
with
our
students
and
grads.
The
people
here
truly
embody
the
school’s
spiritual
presence,
which
is
powerful.”
Our
students
and
graduates,
he
observes,
are
living
testaments
of
the
synchronicity
that
brings
a
person
to
the
perfect
place
and
at
the
perfect
time.
“This
is
a
spiritually
powerful
time
in
history,”
he
adds.
“In
times
of
turbulence
throughout
the
world,
so
many
seekers
deepen
their
faith
and
their
connection
with
others.
Many
will
ultimately
decide
to
seek
a
formal
education
in
divinity
or
metaphysics.
It
is
gratifying
to
see
so
many
people
embrace
Higher
Truths—actively
choosing
to
inspire
and
be
a
blessing
for
families
and
friends,
clients
or
congregants.”
As
he
begins
getting
acquainted
with
AIHT’s
diverse
adjunct
faculty
by
learning
more
about
this
enlightening
coursework,
Michael
says
he
envisions
helping
to
take
AIHT’s
heartfelt
educational
offerings
even
higher.
His
internal
plans
are
to
bring
inspirational
in-service
teachings
for
staff.
Externally,
AIHT
will
be
updating
our
existing
programs
and
ultimately
developing
new
ones—including
a
scholarship
program.
He
says
the
school
will
have
a
greater
presence
at
trade
shows
and
expos,
and
perhaps
someday
can
count
spiritual
pilgrimages
among
its
offerings.
“As
we
establish
higher
levels
of
communications,
with
students
and
graduates
and
also
from
student
to
student,
it
is
gratifying
to
see
how
many
new
students
continue
to
choose
AIHT
based
on
recommendations
or
referrals
from
existing
students
and
grads.
“We
are
changing
peoples’
lives,”
he
concludes,
“and
what
could
be
more
powerful
than
that?”
