Chester P. Yozwick
Memorial Scholarship
In the Words of Our Founder: "It's Time to
Apply Yourself"

Students and graduates, if you know of somebody who has dreamed of studying holistic theology—Divinity, Holistic Childcare, Holistic Ministries, Metaphysics, Parapsychic Sciences, Healtheology, or Naturology—now is the time to direct all scholarship seekers to this page.

Maybe that someone is you!

“Established in honor of AIHT founder Chester P. Yozwick, Ph.D., this $2,000 award is intended to encourage a new student to embark on the life-changing studies that Dr. Y. himself helped to create,” says AIHT president Michael Parker.

Awarded in February 2006, the Chester P. Yozwick Memorial Scholarship is available to a qualified individual who wishes to study at the bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral level.

The AIHT scholarship application process begins November 1, 2005. Scholarship application packages are accepted through December 31, 2005.

“Our scholarship application process even allows an existing student to further his or her studies—either by choosing to add an advanced degree program, or to explore a different, additional program. Dr. Y. was a perpetual, lifetime learner. In his honor, we are pleased to offer this educational opportunity for one who wishes to explore the diverse enrichment opportunities that make our school such a unique educational experience.”

The Chester P. Yozwick Memorial Scholarship award is available to a new AIHT student, or to a currently-enrolled student who wishes to explore additional studies.

Requirements for scholarship consideration:

  • Application;
  • A 500-word essay that describes applicant’s interest in holistic theology, including which program interests you, how you intend to use this education, and how a scholarship award will help you to reach your goals;
  • Three letters of recommendation that address your academic and professional abilities. This may include letters of endorsement from colleagues, friends or family;
  • All applicants are directed to submit these five documents as a package—altogether as described above—between November 1 and December 31, 2005. Incomplete and/or late scholarship application packages are not eligible for consideration.

For your convenience, all materials may be submitted online to scholarship@aiht.edu or may be received via postal mail addressed to:

The 2006 Yozwick Memorial Scholarship winner will be notified February 1, 2006.

Congratulations to our first scholarship recipient, the Rev. Spyder SpiritPainter Webb, who is a 2005 student in our Doctor of Divinity program. Scholarship recipients are expected to begin their formal studies within the same year of the scholarship award.
