Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
AIHT's CVT program trains you to operate ultrasound equipment and capture cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging — preparing you to work alongside cardiologists in hospitals and imaging centers.
Theory classes are conducted online with a live instructor via Zoom. Lab sessions are held in-person, on campus and the clinical externship at one of our affiliated hospital sites.

I recently graduated from AIHT, Cardiovascular Technology program. I did my clinical hours at Windham Hospital in Willimantic where I got hired right after. As a single mother, AIHT's flexible hybrid program enabled me to balance my personal life and school schedule really well. I scored an 845 on the CCI board exam and officially became a Registered Cardiac Sonographer!
I started this school without really knowing what to expect. From the teachers to the rest of the staff, everyone was incredibly helpful — even after graduation, they still checked on me to see how my job search was going. Today I started my first job in the field I studied (CARDIOVASCULAR), and I couldn't be more happy.
I'm very happy I found AIHT — it fit into my schedule and was close to my house.
