Medical Assistant (MA)
AIHT's Medical Assistant program prepares you to support physicians and nurses in delivering exceptional patient care — from taking vital signs and performing phlebotomy to conducting EKGs and managing electronic health records — while also building the administrative skills to handle scheduling and medical billing.
Theory classes are conducted online with a live instructor via Zoom. Lab classes and the clinical externship are held in-person — on campus or at one of our affiliated urgent care centers and medical practices.

I am currently a student at AIHT taking courses to become a Medical Assistant. I definitely recommend this program to anyone interested in going into the medical field. My instructor Ram is very dedicated and passionate with the work he does with his students. The program is very hands on, which helps you to be ready for the medical field.
AIHT Education was a wonderful experience! The teachers really care about their students and always made sure we understood everything. I'm happy with the knowledge and training I received at AIHT. I started having no idea what to expect in this MA training career. The front desk and staff were warm and welcoming the moment I walked through the door. They were willing to assist in whatever area I needed help with. AIHT helped be my backbone throughout my day-to-day classes, even helping me balance class and work. Dr. Professor Rama Sundaram would not allow me to give up, he is such a great professor with kind words of encouragement to push me forward. I finished my program earning my CCMA license and went straight into my externship. Throughout my externship, Dr. Aum and Dr. Professor Rama continued to check in on me to see how I was doing.
My experience in the Medical Assistant program at AIHT was truly amazing. The instructors definitely care about their students' success not just in the classroom, but also in the real world. They go out of their way to make sure we actually comprehend the material we're learning, gain confidence in our patient care skills, and are fully prepared for the NHA exam and real-world clinical situations. Each instructor brought valuable experience in their own way. I'm very grateful for everything this program and the teachers have done to prepare me for success.
