Medical Billing & Coding Specialist (MBC)
AIHT's Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program prepares you for a career processing and verifying insurance claims, managing invoices, and ensuring payment accuracy using the latest ICD-10 and CPT coding systems — while building the medical terminology, EHR, and HIPAA knowledge essential to today's healthcare billing teams.
Theory classes are conducted online with a live instructor via Zoom. In-person 150-hour clinical externship gives you real-world experience at an affiliated healthcare facility or billing company.

I enrolled in the Medical Billing and Coding program online at AIHT. Throughout the entirety of my time there I was given constant support, they were very patient and understanding and always pushed me to succeed and provided any resources they could to get me to where I wanted to be. Aum Patel was with me from orientation to externship, and his professionalism and easy going personality is the perfect mix when a student is feeling unsure. My coding teacher Devasya Patel has the patience of a saint. I successfully completed the program and got my NHA certification. This was the first major step in a big career change for me and I'm glad I found AIHT.
I graduated as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, and I'm super happy and grateful AIHT helped me all the way to accomplish my goal in becoming a healthcare professional.
