Medical Assistant is multi skilled professional of healthcare team who is dedicated to assist physicians and nurses in bringing patient care to optimal level. They perform duties ranging from scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding to taking vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. The medical assistant training coursework includes 200 hours of externship which will give students an opportunity to practice what they have learned in the class. After completion of the program AIHT graduates can appear for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) specific certifications.

Most of the AIHT students comes for medical assistant training from the different areas of Connecticut such as Stratford, Bridgeport, Stamford, Hartford, Boston, Waterbury, Norwalk, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Milford, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, Newtown, Orange, Oxford, Seymour, Redding, Ridgefield, Shelton, Sherman, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, Wilton and New York.

Clinical Externship:

  • At the end of the program student will be scheduled for clinical externship where he/she can gain hands on experience.
