Patient Care Technician Training Program

As a patient care technician (PCT), students will have daily hands-on experiences with patients by helping them with procedures such as taking vital signs, performing electrocardiography (ECG), blood draws, and other needs.

AIHT Education is Allied Health School which provides patient care technician training in Connecticut through classroom and practical learning in the comprehensive phlebotomist program at its Stratford Campus.

Most of the AIHT students comes for patient care technician training from the different areas of Connecticut such as Stratford, Bridgeport, Stamford, Hartford, Boston, Waterbury, Norwalk, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Darien, Easton, Fairfield, Greenwich, Milford, Monroe, New Canaan, New Fairfield, Newtown, Orange, Oxford, Seymour, Redding, Ridgefield, Shelton, Sherman, Trumbull, Weston, Westport, Wilton and New York.

  • Assisting with the Nursing Process
  • Phlebotomy equipments
  • Special Collection Procedures
  • Storage, safety, quality and hygiene
  • Electrocardiography

  • 300 Clock Hours
  • 30 Hour Externship
